How could say such racist remarks towards Japanese games when most western games are stagnated with Madden/CoD/Gears-knock-offs!?
I am sick and tired of everyone and their mother ranted against Japanese to no end. Do you really want Japanese developers to make nothing but grey/brown shooters with sweaty bald space marines? Don't get wrong, Japanese are guilty for many ridiculous designs but some recent have it more downplayed when comparing females of DOA and MK.
It's just not fair how you can say such things when the problem is that it's taking longer for Japanese developers to make a game so it's more of a matter of quantity as oppose to quality.
I bet people hate Japanese games now because of how Final Fantasy XIII turned out when released but don't blame every single game and developer from Japan for the sins of ONE game and the company that made it and even then Final Fantasy XIII isn't as bad what people make it out to be. Don't get wrong, the game has MAJOR problems without a doubt but I'm glad I played it. It's not E.T.-bad, more like Super Mario Sunshine-bad.
Please stop criticizing Japanese developers when their games are only a small percentage of today's gaming market compared to the amount of AAA western games and indie games. Their games stand out because the amount of imagination as oppose to being 100% realistic. They're even trying to appeal to western gamers with Dark Souls and Binary Domain.

Okay, a little mistake there but it's likely Phil Fish is basically snapping at every game just from know it was made by the Japanese. If Final Fantasy was made by westerners but still carries problems of a typical generic WRPG, nobody would give a damn.
It's all double-standard nowadays from western views.
